LekhKit

LinkedIn Italic Text Generator

Italics are a quiet way to add emphasis, a quote or an aside to a LinkedIn post. Type below and copy the italic version.

Select text, then pick a style. Nothing is selected? The word at your cursor is styled.

Good to know
  • Styled text is made of special characters. It pastes into LinkedIn as it looks here, but it is not searchable and some screen readers read it badly. Use it for emphasis, not whole posts.
  • LinkedIn sometimes removes empty lines when you paste. “Keep blank lines” puts one invisible character on each empty line so your spacing survives. Turn it off if you would rather copy the text exactly as typed.
  • A web address in your post shows a link card in the preview, as LinkedIn does. LekhKit cannot load other sites, so it shows the domain; LinkedIn fills in the real title and picture.
  • Attachments and mentions are preview only. Copying carries text, so add media and tag people inside LinkedIn.
  • The counter counts each styled letter as 2 characters to stay on the safe side. LinkedIn’s own count may differ.

How to write in italics on LinkedIn

  1. Enter your text above.
  2. Copy the italic result.
  3. Paste it where you want it on LinkedIn: post, comment, headline or About.

Good uses for italic text

Bold italic and mixing styles

Bold italic is available too, and you can mix styles inside one post. Use the full LekhKit editor to bold one word and italicise another without retyping, with a live preview of how the post will look on desktop and mobile.

Keep it readable

Italic Unicode letters are harder to read in long stretches and are read out letter by letter by many screen readers. A line or two is plenty. Keep the main message in normal text.

Frequently asked questions

Why does italic text on LinkedIn need a generator?

The LinkedIn post box accepts plain text only. The generator swaps each letter for the matching italic character from the Unicode standard.

Can I use italics and bold together?

Yes. LekhKit supports bold, italic, bold italic, underline and strikethrough, and you can mix them in one post.

Does it work on numbers?

Italic styles cover letters only. Numbers stay as they are, while bold has its own digits.
